Versatile Agate

Although Agate has been in a trend scene for a while,  I still feel strong about the attraction of Agate to continue for SS 2011, 2012. The stone, itself looks extremely endearing and organic, often turns out to be a too much tribal style and fails the stylish audience who prefers an elegant jewelry statement. Despite of the  retail failure in the past, the reason to pay attention again is that though the design will come in much more refined as we can see in these rising jewelry designers' work, Minh Wysocan and Mimi Jung for Brook and Lyn. I love their new interpretations on using the stone more as an ascent, which is presented in sophisticate constructions and intricate details with versatile elements like ropes, crochet, worn metal castings. Perfect example that you can transform a low stone to a beautiful piece of jewelry!
